Task: Conduct Kick-Off Meeting
At some point in time during the Start-Up phase, the Engagement Manager will conduct a formal Service Engagement kick-off meeting, making sure all Service Engagement team members share the same views on the main aspects of the Service Engagement.

Main Description

The Service Engagement kick-off meeting will be scheduled by the Engagement Manager at the best suitable time, considering the actual presence of team members on the Service Engagement (both onshore and offshore). It would normally be held only once for the Service Engagement, and it should occur before the end of the Start-Up phase.

The Service Engagement kick-off meeting agenda should at least cover the following:

  • Objectives and client expectations.
  • Capgemini commitments and client obligations.
  • Deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Organization, roles and responsibilities.
  • Plan, onshore/offshore work distribution and task allocation.
  • Procedures and tools.

The Service engagement-kick-off meeting should be organized by the Engagement Manager, with participation of the whole Service Engagement team. Since it is very important to establish a "One Team" culture at the start of the Service Engagement, team members from both onshore and offshore locations should participate in the kick-off.
